    WW2 officer's chinstrap
    Item No: 611 Quantity: 2
    Price: £5

Brown leather chinstrap for the WW2 officer's cap.

    Excellent condition.

    How Many? of 2

    1944 china mug
    Item No: 610 Quantity: 1
    Price: £25

Soldier's 1/2 pint mug, dated 1944 with GRVI. There is a glaze mark as shown on the bottom edge but this small beer.

The only one I've found COMPLETE. Found several bits of them on the old airfields round here but never an unbroken one.

    Rare.

Pair of War Economy 1941 mess tins
    Item No: 608 Quantity: 1
    Price: £15

The 'War Economy' mess tins were in steel rather than aluminium (we went o steel in 1940 and back to aluminium in 1945).

Both tins are by the same maker, EIS 41 and with WD arrow.

    1944 folding water bucket
    Item No: 607 Quantity: 1
    Price: £10

This item is dated 1944 and with Canadian WD arrow. Owner's name to the side.

    Excellent condition

    Hopkinson Release knife
    Item No: 604 Quantity: 1
    Price: £45

This knife was designed for freeing aircrew from crashed aircraft.

It has a cutting edge only on the inside of the blade, the blade tip is deliberately blunted. It is designed this way to enable the user to cut through webbing / harness without injuring the airman.

The leather scabbard has SHEFFIELD ENGLAND on it, the blade has:

    HOPKINSON RELEASE KNIFE

The little press stud has gone from the retaining strap, otherwise execllent condition.

I do not know what date this knife is, any info would be appreciated.

    Anklets, web
    Item No: 599 Quantity: 1
    Price: £8

Pair of wartime gaiters in a sand finish. They belonged to a Royal Artillery officer who served in WW2.

There is a mouse nibble on one leather tab as you can see, otherwise fine. The owner, Captain Jack Humphries, taught my dad at school in the 1950s!

    Early war Battledress trousers,w34.
    Item No: 597 Quantity: 1
    Price: £275

These are the early war issue BD trousers for Other Ranks and are British not Dominions manufacture. They have belt loops and tabs and the early single pleat field dressing pocket.

Three nips, one below the side pocket which has been darned (trousers were family acquired so this would have been done by the owner).

Then in the fork, we have 2 moth holes, well they are not fully holes, you could draw these together quite effectively.

Wear to the nap in places, the original paper/calico label has long gone but the stitching remains on the waistband.

Waist measures 34" and inside leg 31".

Very hard to find the early issue trousers now.

    Plastic RASC cap badge
    Item No: 595 Quantity: 1
    Price: £7

2 blades to reverse, Stanley of Walsall maker.

    WW2 waterbottle
    Item No: 591 Quantity: 1
    Price: £8

This is an Indian made MK6 bottle, the cover has moth nips as you can see.

    Airborne pack 1944
    Item No: 588 Quantity: 1
    Price: £75

Unusual airborne equipment pack by MECo and dated 1944. Unsure what it held, I tried a 303 ammo box as you can see from the photo.

Item is well used with some staining and a buckle has gone from the back but its a rare piece, certainly the only one I've ever seen.

Price may change when I find out what it's for!
