Soldier's 1/2 pint mug, dated 1944 with GRVI. There is a glaze mark as shown on the bottom edge but this small beer. The only one I've found COMPLETE. Found several bits of them on the old airfields round here but never an unbroken one. Rare. | |

Occasionally the empty tubs turn up but this one still has the original block of tooth soap with its cellophane wrapper.
Although it says For Naval Forces on the lid, it is equally applicable to Army or RAF and would be a good addition for a WW2 kit display. By the way, 1926 was the date Enolin was formed, its not the date of manufacture!) Excellent unused condition, no damage. | |
